Unit 8 Blog Post

This has been the first time I have created a blog or blogged at all for that matter! I may continue it but I may do a separate one for family and friends. I cannot complain about the lack of comments I have received because I really haven't commented on any of my peers blogs. In fact, half of the blogs I haven't even reviewed. I am very happy to have been introduced to the world of blogging. I feel that in this day and age, if you are not up-to-date on the technology that is surrounding us and is up and coming, you will be left behind to fend for yourself. It's a sad but true thing. There are some who accept change can can flow with it and then there are are those, namely the elderly, who see no need to change from the original. Some of them have no choice but to change because technology has taken control. An example is regular television. Recently, the change was made that everyone needed a digital converter box in order watch regular tv. Rabbit ears are no longer in. Can you believe that. People are being made and forced to come to some acceptance of technology changes! What a funny thing that is to me! I would like to hear some of your point of views on this. Please comment!

  1. Hello I agree technology is going for force. The elderly in some cases are having to change their way of thinking. I am still learning all of this new stuff and I am only 33. My kids have to show me a lot, because they know more.

  2. Hi Abigail,

Probably people thought the same thing about switching up from horse and cart to the fossil fuel powered automobile. The younger generation will always have to adjust and transform to a changing world. Today's world seems to be changing faster than ever before.

We seniors do need to keep up. For example, I do not have a blackberry or an I-phone, just an old fashioned no frills cell phone. It does take photos, but my daughters all have phones from which they post photos immediately to Face book. :-)
